2012 Jingle Bell Run/Walk Baltimore. Jingle Bell Run/Walk 5K, presented by the Baltimore Arthritis Foundation, will honor Siobhan Light, a local 11-year-old diagnosed with arthritis when she was only 7 years old. 9 a.m., Dec. 9, Du Burns Arena, 1301 S. Build-A-Bear Workshop Toy Drive for Toys for Tots. Donate toys and other items for local children at your local Build-A-Bear workshop. Dec. 7-9, various locations, buildabear.com.

Leonard Peltier Holiday Gift Drive. Bring new toys and warm clothing to this drive, named for the indigenous activist currently in prison. There will be a light dinner, film screening of Incident at Oglala: The Leonard Peltier Story, and raffle. The money raised at the festivities here in Baltimore will be used to buy extra toys to send to the Pine Ridge Reservation and to cover postage costs. 7 p.m., Dec. 12, 2640 Space, 2640 St. Paul St., redemmas.org/2640, $5-$10 donation.

Toys for Tots 2012. Get in the holiday spirit and contribute to the annual Marine Corps Toys For Tots campaign, endorsed by MTA. MTA encourages MARC Train passengers to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate which will be given to a child in need in the Washington/Baltimore region. Cash donations are also accepted. Through Dec. 6, Main Hall at Union Station, 50 Massachusetts Ave. NE, Washington, D.C., free.
