Eat: City Paper's Annual Dining Guide
Published: March 2, 2011
While compiling this year’s EAT dining guide, we wound up talking to a vast number of hostesses, managers, chefs, and waiters while trying to chase down one fact or another about the establishments for which they work. All of them (well, there were a few exceptions), were eager to please. And that’s really what the restaurant business is about, isn’t it? Making people happy with food and drink and sharp service and a welcoming atmosphere and a general good time. This year’s EAT contains more listings than ever in an attempt to help you find a place that pleases you, hopefully many places of all different stripes, serving everything from prime rib to high-concept cooking to smoothies to gyros. It’s our pleasure.
EAT 2011 was compiled from prior City Paper coverage with additional material by Lee Gardner. Editorial support was provided by Alyssa Bianco, Anna Ditkoff, Jerard Fagerberg, Alice Losk, Lauren Loeffler, Jenn Ladd, Max Robinson, and Laurin Wolf. Cover photo-illustration by Frank Hamilton with a tip of the chef’s toque to the folks on the Curbside Café truck and Michael Bull who scarfed a burrito while we snapped his picture.
