8:13 p.m. Warren Wilmer, a 36-year-old African-American man, was shot in the head at the corner of Colborne and North Woodington roads near Gwynns Falls Park. He died before he could be taken to a hospital.

Updates

Two 2011 homicides have been closed by arrest. Tim Dennison, a 20-year-old Caucasian man, was arrested on Jan. 4 for the murder of David Jones, a 21-year-old African-American man. Jones was stabbed to death in Curtis Bay on Jan. 1. Another person was also stabbed in the incident but survived. Demetrius Arrington, a 30-year-old African-American man, was arrested on Feb. 2 for the murder of Jeffrey Purnell, a 51-year-old African-American man. Purnell was shot in the head in his car in the 5700 block of Eastbury Avenue on Jan. 30.

Also on Feb. 2, Marvin Warner, a 24-year-old African-American man, was convicted of robbing and shooting to death Mark Johnson, a 31-year-old African-American man. Johnson was shot in the head in his car in the 3200 block of West Lexington Street on Oct. 13, 2009. According to the State’s Attorney’s Office, his money, cell phone, and keys were missing.
