There were nine days in a row without a homicide in Baltimore City, Jan. 11-19.

Thursday, Jan. 20

1:36 p.m. Rhidel Price, a 21-year-old African-American man, was sitting in a car in the 2900 block of Denham Circle in Cherry Hill when another car pulled up behind him. Price got out of his car and someone in the car behind opened fire. Price was shot in the chest and died at a local hospital 30 minutes later.

Sat., Jan 22

4:28 p.m. Two days later, also in Cherry Hill, Harry Hicks, a 29-year-old African-American man, was trying to get into his car in the 400 block of Swale Avenue near Harbor Hospital when he was shot numerous times. He died at a local hospital at 4:55 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 23

10:45 p.m. On the east side, Antonio Lee, a 36-year-old African-American man, was driving in the 1400 block of East Monument Street by Johns Hopkins Hospital. He stopped at a traffic signal. People in another car started shooting at him. Lee’s car was riddled with bullets. He was shot in the torso and died at a local hospital at 11:19 p.m.

Updates

Ronald Johnson, an 18-year-old African-American man, was arrested on Jan. 11 for the murder of Chase Love, a 26-year-old African-American man from New Orleans who was a U.S. Marine. Love was shot repeatedly inside a hookah bar near the intersection of Baltimore and Calvert streets downtown on July 2, 2010.

Antonio Moore, a 33-year-old African-American man, was arrested on Jan. 22, for the murder of Avon Beasley, a 25-year-old African-American man. Beasley was shot to death in a yard in the 200 block of North Rose Street on June 12, 2010.
