The names of the two people murdered on Dec. 18 have been released. The man found shot in the head on the sidewalk in the unit block of North Lakewood Avenue has been identified at Ramon Uceda, a 26-year-old Hispanic male. The man murdered in a fire in the 1400 block of Homestead Avenue was Ellison McCall, a 30-year-old African-American.
Wednesday, Dec. 22
12:28 a.m. Juan Carlos Santos-Hernandez, a 29-year-old Hispanic man, and a friend were walking home in the 3700 block of Mount Pleasant Avenue just outside Canton. Two men came up to them and allegedly tried to rob them. Santos-Hernandez and his friend tried to run and the robbers started firing. Santos-Hernandez was shot in the head. His friend wasn’t hit. Santos-Hernandez died before he could be taken to the hospital. He is the sixth Hispanic person murdered this year in Baltimore city.
9:14 p.m. That night, Mustafa Abdul Malik, a 43-year-old African-American man, was walking home. He was in the 2900 block of Mathews Street in Better Waverly when he got into an argument with someone. The person he was arguing with fired at Malik several times. He tried to run away but collapsed. He had been shot in the head and died at an area hospital at 9:51 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 23
7:36 p.m. Three minors were shot in a home in the 1000 block of Ashburton Street in West Baltimore. When police arrived, they found a 14-year-old and 17-year-old inside. A 15-year-old was discovered in the alley. All three were African-American. The 17-year-old was shot in the right leg and left wrist. The 15-year-old was shot in the stomach and rear. Both were taken to area hospitals and survived. The 14-year-old, Issac Joyner, was shot in the head and died at a local hospital less than an hour later. He is the 24th teenager to be murdered so far this year.
Saturday, Dec. 25
2 a.m. On Christmas Day, Keith Robinson, a 23-year-old African-American man, was found in the driver’s seat of his car parked in the 4100 block of Ridgewood Avenue two blocks from West Cold Spring Lane. He had been shot at least once in the right side of the head and was dead.
Sunday, Dec. 26
7:53 a.m. Police were called to the intersection of South Pulaski and Boyd streets in Southwest Baltimore. Raymond Woodland, a 20-year-old African-American man, was lying on the curb. He had been shot in the torso and head and died at a local hospital at 9:32 a.m.
