Thursday, Nov. 25

6:57 p.m. On Thanksgiving Day, Harry Patterson Jr., a 68-year-old African-American man, allegedly got into an argument with his wife. Patterson’s younger brother Robin, a 51-year-old African-American man, tried to break up the fight. Harry then allegedly went into the kitchen of Robin’s house in the 4400 block of Belvieu Avenue in Northwest Baltimore, got a knife, and stabbed Robin six times. Robin died at a nearby hospital the next morning. Patterson was arrested and, according to police, confessed to killing his brother. This is the 25th fatal stabbing this year, and the fifth this month. Patterson’s arrest also marks the eighth time this year a person has been charged with the 2010 murder of a family member.
