LOF/T Theaters Find Temporary Homes
Nearby venues provide stages for upcoming performances

With the future of Station North’s Load of Fun building still in doubt (“Load of Trouble,” Mobtown Beat, Sept. 11), both of the theaters located in the building have secured new locations for their current productions. The Glass Mind Theatre is performing A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Autograph Playhouse through Oct. 7. (See glassmindtheatre.com for more information.) Single Carrot Theatre opens its season on Oct. 5 with Drunk Enough to Say I Love You at the Maryland Institute College of Art, with performances at Falvey Hall at the Brown Center and in the new auditorium at the Studio Center. According to Nathan Cooper, Single Carrot’s artistic director, the theater will finish the rest of its season in the building Everyman Theatre currently occupies, on Charles Street, after that company moves to the west side in January. “It’s good for us,” Cooper says. “But it’s also good for the neighborhood. It’s good to still have a performing arts space and keep a lot of activity in the neighborhood.”
