They don’t actually cook pizzas, but that didn’t stop Jimmy Giegerich and Dan Petruccelli from naming their two-man print shop Pizza Party Printing.

“I think I just suggested the name in passing as a joke, but we liked it, so we went with it,” Giegerich says.

Since opening as Pizza Party Printing in January, the two have been silkscreening shirts, posters, beer koozies, and anything else that can fit onto their six-station printing press that they’ve somehow managed to cram into a small Hampden basement.

As a way to promote the business, Giegerich and Petruccelli host a free movie screening at the Ottobar on the last Sunday of every month. There, they debut and sell their latest prints, which include a shirt and poster inspired by the film they show.

“September’s movie is going to be The Neverending Story,” Petruccelli says with a chuckle.
