Stop Fucking Snitching Figure Sherman Kemp Back in Trouble

Many people featured in Skinny Suge’s infamous 2004 rat-hating video, Stop Fucking Snitching, went on to get long prison sentences for a litany of crimes, but 33-year-old Sherman Kemp might take the cake for attracting punishment.
After Kemp pleaded guilty in 2008 to coke and guns charges in Maryland federal court, he got 180 months in prison. Pennsylvania prosecutors also took a whack at him for being part of the massive, murderous Phillips Cocaine Organization conspiracy, which had several Mobtown connections (“Return Flight,” Mobtown Beat, Dec. 24, 2008), and after a jury convicted him, in 2010, he got 30 years imprisonment—plus, a $31 million money judgment against him, for which he shares responsibility with his co-convicts in the case.
Now, the Maryland U.S. Attorney’s Office is on him again, securing a grand-jury indictment against Kemp for a heroin conspiracy. The indictment is devoid of details, other than the alleged dates—from at least about April 2011 until Nov. 7, 2011. Since Kemp has been in the custody of the U.S. Bureau of Prisons since the 2008 conviction, the new charge must involve allegations of slinging heroin in the clink, though the indictment doesn’t say so. Kemp pleaded not guilty on Oct. 26.
