During the Orioles’ playoff run, from their doubter-defying stomp of the Texas Rangers on October 5th to their final defeat in Game 5 of the American League Division Series on October 12th, there were 74,914 geotagged tweets in Baltimore containing the terms “Orioles,” “O’s,” and “Camden Yards.” Chris Whong of Charm City Networks picked a sampling of 2,922 of those tweets and plotted the tweeters’ locations on a map, to see where Oriole Fever outbreaks were most severe.
