In related news, comedic surrealist-extraordinaire Eric Wareheim (of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!) has directed Beach House’s latest video. The video for Bloom’s “Wishes” features actor Ray Wise, notably Leland Palmer from Twin Peaks, lip-syncing in a football field surrounded by water-squirting dancers, fireworks, a rapt audience, and other surreal touches.

May is a big month for Baltimore record releases. Splice-and-dice loop-master Co La kicks it off on May 7 with Moody Coup, out on Software Recording Co. Check out Co La with Mister Lies and Braider at Golden West March 29.

Double Dagger alums have a big day on May 14, with Roomrunner releasing their eagerly anticipated debut LP, Ideal Cities, on Fan Death Records. The first single, the catchy and squealy “Weird,” is streaming on Fan Death’s SoundCloud page. Peals, which consists of Future Islands’ William Cashion and Double Dagger’s Bruce Willen (pictured, L-R) release their first album, Walking Field, on Thrill Jockey. Rounding up the May releases of note is Dungeonesse’s self-titled album, due to be released by Secretly Canadian on May 14. Get out your dancing boots and stream the album opener, “Shucks,” at Secretly Canadian’s website.

Dope Body missed the memo and will be releasing Saturday, a new Drag City 7-inch, in March, not May. Disappointingly, it will not be released on a Saturday. Instead, catch it on Tuesday, March 19.
