Warren Wolf

Washington, D.C.-area natives Robert and Chuck Redd perform in the upstairs cabaret room of Germano’s Trattoria in Little Italy on Dec. 13. The two-man show—Chuck on percussion, Robert on piano—will perform traditional Christmas tunes. Cover for the 7:30 P.M. show is $20, and there’s a $20 food and drink minimum, so plan on eating dinner.

Saxophonist Tim Warfield will play a special holiday show at Marianne Matheny-Katz’s Jazzway 6004 on Dec. 15 starting at 8 P.M. He’s joined by his band, Joanna Pascale on vocals, and a surprise guest on piano. Tickets are $40 and include soft drinks and a holiday dessert, fruit, and cheese buffet. Copies of Warfield’s new holiday CD will be on sale.

Drums, piano, and vibes virtuoso Warren Wolf puts on a Kwanzaa show at An die Musik on Dec. 29. Wolf, a Berklee graduate and a native Baltimorean, will play the vibes and marimba and be joined by Allyn Johnson on piano, Billy Williams on drums, and special guest Christian McBride, a well-known jazz bassist hailing from the City of Brotherly Love. Tickets are $25, $10 for students.

Sac Au Lait comes to Joe Squared in Station North on Jan. 3 to play its unique mix of Dixieland, blues, and swing music. The band’s rendition of “St. James Infirmary” is particularly good, as is its take on “Five Foot Two.” If you’ve always dreamed of living in prohibition-era America, this is the band you’ll want to see.
