Let’s get one thing out of the way: Little Morocco can take a bit. This isn’t your corner deli grab-and-go. That lamb kebab sandwich might only cost $6 (with fries or salad and a can of soda), but rest assured it’s being cooked on the spot, with the resulting cubes of perfectly charred, seasoned lamb being well worth the 15-or-so-minute wait (and more than worth the price). Falafel—again, served via sandwich ($4.99)—is well-seasoned without being overpowering, just-falling-apart-blobs-of-fried-chickpea delicious. An ample side salad comes Mediterranean style, loaded with tomato, cucumber, and briny olives. In addition to the more usual Mediterranean suspects—we’ll try the gyro next time or maybe an appetizer sampler or shawarma—you’ll find some American staples like a tuna sandwich or burger but, really, unless you have some kind of extreme tumeric allergy, you’d be a fool.
