Baltimore Surf + Skate Film Festival

Curated by Gina Caruso

July 26-28 at the Creative Alliance

We can always count on the Creative Alliance to customize their events to a particular subset of Baltimore’s diverse population, and with its newest film festival, the shaggy-haired, helmeted, and wetsuit-ed skaters and surfers among us get their day in the sun. The festival was curated by Gina Caruso, CA’s managing director and the founder and former director of the Honolulu Surf Film Festival. With an Ocean City, Md. native’s 1977 surfing-odyssey short, local filmmaker Joseph Poole’s short, and eight feature films, Caruso’s selection is bound to drive you to the shore or the street in search of some exhilaration.
