More about Java Moon CaféPublished: September 8, 2010
Why Penn Station can’t get an eating establishment above the quality of Amtrak café car food is baffling. Putting aside the fact that the nook Java Moon inhabits is in a heavily trafficked, historic rail station, it’s also a stone’s throw from burgeoning Station North. Yet, here we are eating a soggy nuked chicken sandwich ($4.99) and wondering how many state lines and warehouses this bean and cheese burrito’s ($2.99) seen. At least it’s not cold, and maybe we should have just taken the hint when we were warned before ordering that everything is pre-made. At least Java Moon has a bar, which is a must at any train station worth its weight.
