Cheap Eats
Belair Food Mart
Published: April 4, 2012
Some mornings, a bowl of cereal at home just won’t cut the hunger, and the ol’ GI tract needs a full-on protein bomb to fuel the day’s start. That’s when a trip to the Belair Food Mart is in order, where the mammoth burger, egg, and cheese sub ($4.95) will kick you right into gear. Two burgers, two eggs, and gooey yellow cheese make for a hefty combo packaged in an 8-inch white sub roll—and don’t forget to ask for hot peppers too, so the colonic wars will rage all the more. While you wait for your order to be prepared, and it doesn’t take long, admire the array of Boesl Packing Co. sausages for sale. Belair Food Mart is one of the few places we’ve noticed that carry the line of hot and mild sausages produced a few blocks south on Harford Road. Pick up a package of the hots, and they’re sure to keep you fired up all day.
