The comedy club occupancy of Baltimore is an ever-shifting mosaic of mirth and misery, but right now Mobtown is riding high with three clubs, and Magooby’s is clearly the cream of the crop. Located in a former dinner theater nestled between a post office and a shooting range, Magooby’s is one of the best-looking comedy clubs in the nation, and they back it up with top touring comedians and a genuine commitment to local comics that had been sorely lacking in Baltimore’s club scene. Magooby’s may not be where comedy lives, but it is where comedy goes for a few hours to enjoy some wings.
