Ibuprophen, check. Birthday card, check. Band-Aids, check. Six pack of Lowenbrau Wait. What? In what has to be one of the city’s oddest place to score some drank on a weekend night, the Rite Aid on Greenmount is a one-stop shop for pretty much everything, including single-malt Scotch. It seems that the space occupied by the local chain had a so-called grandfathered-in liquor license. In a city where you can’t really get liquor at the grocery store, the next best thing is a pharmacy where you can at least get all the ingredients you need for that hot toddy this winter. Or at least a cheap Mad Dog before your party in Waverly.
