Do you ever find yourself standing in the grocery store checkout line, eyeballing the candy display, thinking, I could never eat another Kit Kat again? Neither do we, but since discovering the candy at Sophia’s Place, we’ve added a few items to list of favorites such as the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and the York Peppermint Pattie. The killer stuffed cabbage, pierogis, and crepes are what first attracts the palette to this charming Broadway Market stand, but it’s the variety of candy you’ve never heard of before that you’re going to think about when back at the desk, wishing you tried that thing in the weird wrapper with the “z” in the name. We’re still working our way through the offerings but we can say this: Poland, bravo on the Bajeczny, the Milk Dud in bar form.
