The key to any good bookstore these days is that it’s a comfortable place to chill and check out books. (We have corporate juggernaut Barnes and Noble to thank for setting this standard.) For floppy, sloppy, low-to-the-ground children this creates a particular set of problems, but this adorable Lauraville outlet handles them with ease. There’s tons of floor space and soft things to sprawl out in. There’re lots of great books for all ages, obvs, but also plenty of toys—not for sale, just to play with, in case the books aren’t good today or one sibling isn’t into it. There’s also a great cafAc that serves PB&J and amazing cookies, and regular storytimes and music classes.
