Waterfront Kitchen

1417 Thames St., (443) 681-5310

Given all the miles—about seven, if you want to use the freshly completed Waterfront Promenade as a measuring stick—of choice bayside views we have in our city, it’s always been quite annoying to local epicures that most of that real estate was occupied by tourist traps, big chains, or other less-than-stellar establishments. But finally, in a sort of buffer zone between Fells and Harbor East, Waterfront Kitchen has stepped in to fill that particularly vexing void. Seed-to-table, local, grass-fed, all the usual trappings of upscale fare are present. And on top of that—the view. They’ve managed to secure a stretch of promenade with a completely uncluttered view of the harbor with both old school Bmore (Domino’s sugar factory) and new (Under Armour complex) in the background. With a steady stream of boat traffic on any given day and an unbelievable view of city fireworks on pertinent occasions, Waterfront Kitchen possesses a vantage point of Baltimore’s most important waterway that is nigh unbeatable.
