Best Pierogis

The Parishioners of Holy Rosary parish

408 S. Chester St.,, (410) 732-3960

Several times a year the parishioners of Holy Rosary Parish make pierogis to sell to the public. The process takes weeks, each Saturday of a given month devoted to preparing a single variety of dumpling filled with various combinations of meat, cheese, sauerkraut, and potato in the parish’s small kitchen, just off of the school gymnasium. The results are like the ones your busia would make—soft, silky dough wrapped around a knob of full-flavored filling. Look for sales in the fall, in conjunction with the parish’s Polish festival, and in the spring, for the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday.
