The battle for “Best Chicken Box” in Baltimore is always stiff competition, with many crosstown contenders. But the crisp yet tender and juicy wings of Sunny’s Subs take the crown. The delicious chicken is best accompanied by thick, golden western fries and a cup of spicy and sweet Sunny sauce (its version of the D.C.-MD-VA area’s mambo sauce). The beverage of choice for regulars is almost always a half-n-half (an equal mix of lemonade and sweet tea), or if you are feeling brave, try the triple mix (the half-n-half meets fruit punch). Sunny’s service is speedy, so don’t be deterred by the hungry midday and evening crowds.
