Gordon’s isn’t the most immediately welcoming place in the world, what with the deafening dancehall tunes and the spare, white-tiled interior (there are no tables). But once the nice men behind the counter have provided you with those generous, cheap portions of cocoa bread, jerk chicken, and curry goat, it will all feel a good deal more friendly. The jerk seasoning is spicy, complex, and pungent, with plenty on each piece of meat. All entr?es come with rice and peas, but if you’re hoping this will help tame the fire in your mouth, guess again. Buy some sweet, chewy cocoa bread instead.
