Best Brewer
Brian Strumke
Published: September 19, 2012
He is a self-proclaimed “gypsy brewer.” What’s that, you ask? He is so revered in the brewing community that when a brewery in the States or overseas has an empty tank they invite him over to create a new beer sensation. His creativity with beer uses ingredients like chamomile, dandelion, and lavender. He has even created a great beer using the ingredients of Natty Boh and reconfigured it to be an amazing libation, known as his “premium,” which is light-years better than the former. His brewing company, Stillwater Artisanal Ales, has taken off so rapidly that he has even launched a restaurant called Of Love and Regret where you can enjoy many of Brian’s concoctions. What this man does with the hops and the barley is to combine not merely to cause intoxication but to elevate the beer palate to heights of ecstasy.
