Without a doubt the best place to buy bread. And by bread, we’re not talking about baguettes or ciabatta or croissants, we’re talking everyday, used-to-make-lunch or need-for-football-Sunday bread. The H & S outlet store is packed floor-to-ceiling with amazing deals, particularly on the back wall, where bags of sliced bread or rolls are often three for a dollar. Three whole bags of bread—for a dollar. Or (based on a recent visit) 54 slices of Jewish marble rye for a dollar and 36 mini-sub rolls for one single dollar. And it’s all baked right across the street! Not everything is this cheap, but come on, why would anyone buy bread anywhere else? Also they have pies and cakes.
