Best Musical Actor
Corey Hennessey

With the awesome power of a thousand exploding Adam Ants, Hennessey is the glam-rock god of Baltimore. If you were lucky enough last year to take a Spirit Cruise and were blown away by Corey Hennessey, the one-man fountain of feline ferocity and raw sex-rock goodness, famous for his tour-boat renditions of Journey and Frank Valli songs, you knew the man was destined for bigger and better things, and he’s living up to it. Hennessey exploded last year as a latterday Ziggy Stardust in the Baltimore Rock Opera Society’s production Lunastus. This year he’s kept it rolling with standout performances in 35mm at the Stillpointe and Valhella with the BROS, but he’s been saving the best for last with the October production of 1814! the Rock Opera. In a preview for Canadian TV, Hennessey took revisionist history to incredible new heights as an Adam Ant-inspired General George Armistead and wowed the crowd with his torrid rendition of “Big Ass Flag.” It’s October’s can’t-miss!
