Although he has a rep as one of the greatest producers in the history of Baltimore club music, Grant “DJ Booman” Burley III is also hip-hop to the core, and will still spin the latest and greatest rap bangers pretty much anywhere he can. Lately, that includes nightspots in and out of town, with Strictly Hip Hop on Morgan State’s WEAA-FM as well as the New Jersey-based AM station Mix 1620. Elsewhere, he’s making mixes for Bmore Original Records, making moves with his own Crooked Streetz Entertainment, representing the Bum Squad DJ crew, or holding down the decks behind rising local rap star and longtime collaborator Mullyman.
