It’s one thing to show great movies at a comfortable, well-kept independent movie theater; it’s another to actively support a culture of film, easing people along in that transition from people that like to go to the movies to people that love film. A revival series is a vital part of that. And so we were most excited to see the Charles Theatre bring its back, proving at the outset that “revival” doesn’t mean canonical black-and-whites with a series-debut showing of Jaws. Hard to think of something better to top the list of old, great movies we’d love to see on a big screen.
