Stoop Storytelling

It’s hard to believe that Stoop Storytelling is about to start its seventh season. Seems like just the other day that Laura Wexler and Jessica Henkin, the divas of the seven-minute digression, started the Moth-inspired series to allow us to get up on a stage and tell true stories about our lives. And its still not getting old, partly because Baltimore is full of great stories and partly because the series continues to pick topics we can all dig into. Who isn’t interested in stories about the seven deadly sins, being under the influence, or, most harrowing of all, family? The hosts’ onstage dynamic is also hard to beat, with Wexler acting as straight man to Henkin’s rather absurdist and extremely dry wit. Plus, they always find great live music. As with the best storytellers, as long as they keep talking, we’ll keep letting them bend our ears.
